Course update: 4/29/24

Good morning Tampa Palms,

We are currently hosting a private event today, however we would like to use Monday private event days to follow up on some Q & A.

Question: Why don’t we allow fairways to grow more or raise the height of cut?

Answer: We are working diligently on promoting growth through applications to help thin areas as well as high traffic spots. Our height of cut has been @ .500 year around, which is a manageable HOC. Higher heights of cuts historically haven’t work as it decreases ball roll thus making the course play longer.

Question: Why do we fill divots and what does it do?

Answer:Sand placed back in the divot levels the surface back so the turf can grow back into place. If it is not filled the hole will remain as the turf grows back but it may cause inconsistent areas of play and unhealthy turf from uneven cuts with the mower.

This week we plan to modify the geofence and the entrance and exit post will return designating the cut off points of the geofence.

Thank you and have a great week⛳️

Course update: 4/23/24

Good morning Tampa Palms,

The range is open and today’s Pin location is 1.

No cart path restrictions.

Fairway mowing has been reduced to one time weekly due to continued pressure from cart traffic. Please observe the 90° rule to remove unnecessary stress and traffic down our fairways.

Please fill divots and repair ball marks.

Thank you⛳️
